Katy Tx area market notes
Lately I have been looking for homes for Buyers and been beaten out each time. I am seeing multiple offers on properties and in some cases finding myself waiting outside while another agent is showing the home I scheduled to tour. Not that there are not resale homes on the market, but as it has been said "the early bird gets the worm". In my case the best worms. I am glad they have declared that we have hit bottom, now maybe I can find homes for my Buyers. Our motto is neither rain, nor snow, nor.... oh sorry wrong motto, but you get the picture and we always find a home. Oh and did I forget to mention that we also sell homes?
The Headlines on our monthly market report read "Sales of single family homes for the greater Houston area achieved the highest volume of 2009 in May." It seems the annual spring buying season is off to a great start due to good values and persistence of those wanting to take full advantage of the good market. Rentals have slowed and inventory in the Katy and Cy Fair school districts are still going down.
Reminder: If you wait until it is announced to the public that there is a sale, all you will have are the left overs.
